Lakeside,
Montana originally was called Stoner, after the first
postmaster, John Stoner. In 1920, the name was changed to
Lakeside.
There are marinas and gift shops in the Lakeside area. Each
Forth of July, the town has a spectacular fireworks display
over the Flathead Lake. Lakeside is also home to
Blacktail Ski Mountain.
